1. Installing Metamask on PC (software wallet)
MetaMask is basically a browser extension for Google Chrome, Firefox, Brave etc.
- You can download Metamask at the following link: https://metamask.io/download/, selecting the preferred system (PC / iOS / Android).
In this case, click on [Install Metamask for Chrome], as displayed in fig. 1.1 and indicated by the orange arrow.
- At the top right corner, click on “Add“, as indicated by the orange arrow in figure 1.2.
- Click on [Add extension], as indicated by the orange arrow in figure 1.3.
- Wait for the installation to complete: you can check the status at the bottom left corner of the browser window, as displayed in fig. 1.4 .
- To use Metamask more easily, it can be useful to set up a keyboard shortcuts to the extension. To do that, click at the top right, on the icon with the puzzle piece (fig. 1.5, step 1), and then on the icon with the drawing pin near Metamask (fig. 1.5 step 2 ), as indicated by the orange arrows in fig. 1.5.
- From now on, every time you want to open Metamask, just click on the orange icon with the stylised fox, as displayed in fig. 1.6.
